Have I mentioned how crazy life is these days? I know, I know. I'm like an iPod stuck on replay, replay.
I didn't sleep much last night (which is probably why I think it's ok to quote Iyaz) because E needed some TLC, and when I did catch a few minutes of shut-eye, I was literally dreaming about sink faucets. How boring is that? I'm starting to forget what real life is like.
Even though things are crazy, we are managing to squeeze in some time with friends here and there, and make it a point to get the girls to the park (the happiest place on earth, it seems) whenever we can. Which reminds me...you know that old saying, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" or something like that? Where did that come from? Because it really should be "If babies ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." The girls' moods run the show in our house. Probably just a glimpse into our future and something I should start to get used to now.
So to keep EVERYONE happy, we have to hit up a playground quite frequently. It does the trick.

(Yes, E is basically pushing her sister out of the way here. And I couldn't figure out how to make it a teaching moment because A thought it was the most fun in the world to get shoved down the slide.)
And to all of you fellow Wisconsinites...you're welcome for the cold summer. I remember thinking on more than one occasion how great a cool summer would be for this pregnancy. It was 48 degrees this morning when I woke up. Somebody's looking out for me!
