Yay! I didn't have a literal "labor" day. You think about those things when you're 38 weeks pregnant.
Once again, Justin spent the weekend working at the house, and I spent it with the girls. Have I mentioned what an amazing job Justin is doing on the house? His pain-in-the-butt wife asked for white trim and doors...so, ok, I didn't know how much labor (hmm, there's that word again - must have something on my mind) that truly involved. I had no idea! But it's a lot, people. That man will never agree to painting trim and doors again, which I'm fully prepared for...now that I've got that beautiful trim it's easy to say that.
The thing about Justin is that he's a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to projects with his name on them. And I admire that about him, but sometimes he's worried about brush strokes, etc. that just aren't visible to the human eye...other than his, I guess. He does an amazing job though...which any wife in her right mind would be grateful for!
So while Justin worked on that, I hung out with my girlies, which is my favorite way to spend the weekend anyway...although it's better when Justin is with us. I still feel great (knock on wood) and really the only inconvenience with this pregnancy lately is that I can't keep food off of my shirt. My belly is a magnet for oil, chocolate, potato chips, ice cream. I feel like a total slob. It's 10 am and I already spilled my coffee on my nice clean shirt. Ugh...last week I got chocolate all over my white shirt AT WORK at 9:30 am. So I scrubbed it clean the best I could, returned to my cube with a nice, big wet spot on my shirt and emailed my friend Lynn, who's also pregnant.
Me: Hey Lynn, wondering how you're feeling! I just got chocolate all over my big white maternity shirt, and thought I'd see how you're doing.
Lynn: I just tried to brush Pringle crumbs off my belly and smeared oil everywhere. I'm doing great!
You have to love pregnant camaraderie. Especially a friend who's eating Pringles at the same early hour I'm eating a candy bar.
Anyway, I took a million pics of the house this weekend (or 25 or something) so I'll have to load those and share this week. Apparently, moving day will be September 14th. I still can't visualize them getting everything done that they need to, but the builder seems pretty confident. Only time will tell!
